Lesson Cancellation Policy

In order to keep our prices as low as possible we have a late cancellation policy. Should you need to cancel or change your lesson time we simply ask for at least 48 hours’ notice which enables me to offer your time slot to another pupil. Less than 48 hours’ notice will mean the lesson can be charged at the our discretion. For lessons longer than 1 hour or any block bookings, we request that you give us as much notice as possible. As with most other driving schools (and other practices such as Dentists, etc), the late cancellation charge is due to the loss of earnings incurred, especially due to the high demand of our instructors and considering a lot of our instructors have a waiting list. Short notice lesson cancellation, failed attendance or late arrival disrupts service for other pupils. As we are self-employed and only get paid for attended lessons, we do not get paid a salary. Continued late notice cancellations may result in a pupil being asked to pre-pay for lessons or the instructor not making any further appointments with the pupil.

Driving lesson cancellations must be made direct. We trust you will understand our policy and thank you for your cooperation.

Parry's Driving School Gift Vouchers are valid for 6 months from the date of issue and are non-redeemable for cash. Gift vouchers are non transferable and must only be used by the person named on the voucher.

Pre-booked lessons must be taken within a 6 month period from the date of the first lesson.

If the instructor advises on a course of lessons and a test is booked at the end, but you have not reached the required standard before your test or have not taken the agreed amount of lessons, the instructor will advise you to change your test date. Any test fees lost are not the responsibility of Parry's Driving School.

Parry's Driving School has the right to withdraw their car for the driving test should the instructor feel the pupil is not up to the required standard.

Lessons can sometimes be conducted in a pupil’s car. This is at the discretion of the instructor and the instructor will decide whether they believe the pupil is of a required standard.

Parry's Driving School cannot guarantee pupils any particular lesson days, times, or instructors. There is no guarantee of a pupil passing a test or reaching test standard in any given time.

All instructors are self employed and not employed by any other driving school. All instructors are self employed franchisees and licensed and regulated by the Government’s Driving Standard’s Agency. Instructors use their own insurance, vehicle and equipment. If a claim is made it should be made directly to your instructor.

Parry's Driving School accepts no liability for the acts, omissions or negligence of the driving instructor or any injury, loss or damage arising from the use of the tuition vehicle. Parry's Driving School will not accept responsibility for advance payments or cash, or cheques payable to instructors. Parry's Driving School will not accept any responsibility for any acts, default or failure on the part of the Instructor to carry out his/her obligations.

Any monetary transactions between pupils and instructors is purely between the 2 parties involved and not in any way connected to Parry's Driving School. Parry's Driving School bears no responsibility for the attitude or behaviour of its franchisees.

Any complaints against an instructor working for Parry's Driving School should be taken up with your instructor first, and if not resolved should then be directed to Parry's Driving School. Parry's Driving School will only deal with a complaint directly from the pupil concerned.
